What is an EPD
Yale is leading the way towards a more sustainable global industry with its participation in the EPD programme.
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a complete mapping of a product's environmental footprint based on a detailed Lifecycle assessment (LCA), independently verified by an accredited third party.
An EPD does not guarantee that a product is energy efficient or sustainable, but it allows the user to make an informed decision when selecting a solution.
Environmental product declarations are based on the ISO 14025 and EN 15804, internationally recognised standards
Product specific EPDs are worth twice as much as industry generic EPDs
EPDs can contribute credits towards green building certification such as BREEAM or LEED
Allows customers to make informed decisions, by knowing exactly what is in our products
Can help reduce a building's environmental impact
